Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Near Library. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

You need a working email address to sign in, either by one-time code or through Google.
Keep access to that mailbox secure — anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Provide accurate information, and keep it up to date.

Parent and student links

A student may invite a parent or guardian. Once linked, that parent can view the student's tasks, progress and work sessions, and leave comments. They cannot edit or delete the student's work. Both sides can ask us to remove the link at any time.

Acceptable use

Do not:

Use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm another person.
Try to access another user's account or data.
Probe, scan, overload or otherwise interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
Upload content you do not have the right to use.

Your content

Your study data — your books, tasks, notes, comments and time records — is yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it and show it to you and to any parent you have linked. We do not claim ownership of it.

Availability

We try to keep Near Library running and reliable, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the service. The app can display previously loaded pages offline, but data will not sync until you are back online.

Ending your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Near Library is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
